DC Real Estate Commission license renewal applications for Real Estate Salespersons must be submitted by August 31, 2023. 
Please carefully review this information in its entirety before starting your renewal application. Accessing your Renewal Application Your license can be renewed online using this Renewal Application Link. (Enter YOUR email & password for AccessDC account). If you do not already have one, you will first need to create an Access DC account by clicking this AccessDC Sign Up Link. Once you’ve setup the account, you will receive an activation email. You must click on the activation link to complete your AccessDC account registration. Once you’ve completed AccessDC registration, click on Renewal Application Link. Continuing Education Requirements Real Estate Salesperson licensees shall attest to having completed no less than fifteen (15) hours of acceptable continuing professional education (CPE), during the term of the license. The fifteen hours include: - three (3) hours of DC legislative update,
- three (3) hours of DC ethics,
- three (3) hours of DC fair housing,
- three (3) hours of DC general electives and
- three (3) hours of DC property management.
These CE requirements exclude those applicants seeking the first renewal of a license granted by examination. Applicants Transferring to a New Brokerage Note: For RENEWAL APPLICANTS wishing to transfer to a new brokerage: - You must first obtain an employment letter from the new brokerage. The employment letter must be on the letterhead of the new brokerage to include:
- the Real Estate Organization (REO) of the new brokerage and
- the license number of the new brokerage.
- the license number of the transferring licensee
This hire letter is a required upload as part of your renewal application. YOUR CONTINUING EDUCATION CREDITS COULD BE SUBJECT TO AUDIT FOR UP TO FIVE (5) YEARS. YOU SHOULD RETAIN THE APPROPRIATE DOCUMENTATION TO VERIFY THE CPE CREDITS YOU HAVE REPORTED.
